ABOUT THE COMPANY:

From its early beginnings …

MHCS Limited, was formed in October 1994 to provide RECRUITMENT, TRAINING & CONSULTANCY to the services industry. Over the years progress was registered in each of these divisions ; Consultancy in regard to new hotel developments,  the management of EU projects and as an approved provider of Mystery Guest Services. The Training division was developed to a level which necessitated a separate company to be formed - ‘New Training Dynamics Ltd, which focused on neuro-linguistic programming and which has since continued providing stand alone programs and on-line training and Recruitment which from it’s early beginnings as a back up service to consultancy and training projects progressed to establish itself in its own rights within the services sector and also as a major player in industry and commerce. With the advent of Malta joining the EU new opportunities presented themselves and increased exposure via the internet resulted in recruitment services drove forward demand for   possibilities recruitment services being offered overseas. In it’s latest venture MHCS has formed a sister company CMIS(Malta)Ltd which essentially provides Asian workers to the local and UK markets especially in the fields of Health and Care and in the world of shipping in which the company is an agent for a crew manning company representing a Philippine company.

Company Culture

The company has been under the same ownership from its inception. Anthony J. Gatt, the majority shareholder and managing director has placed personal service as a cornerstone of the company’s policies. Combined with a one to one approach he advocates confidentiality and the importance of recognizing talents, exposing them and then matching them with business needs.  Whatever the background, no individual neither candidate and nor client will be excluded irrespective of age, religion, sex, marital status, or disability. This commitment of ensuring equal opportunity for all on a non-discriminatory basis underlies a principle of fairness that is embodied in all of MHCS’s dealings.

Executive and administration.. 

Anthony Gatt gained his knowledge and experience in interpersonal dealings and HR practices while building a successful career in the hotel industry where he had worked for more then 18 years in various hotels in the UK within the THF group. He returned to Malta with the same company to manage the Five Star Hotel Phoenicia, a proud member of the Forte Hotel collection and later following its refurbishment, managed the Five Star Corinthia Palace Hotel. During his time in the UK he headed the Model Training Hotel concept which TrusthousesForte had embedded in their operating standard and since starting up his own business he contributed towards industry be accepting the post of Chairman of the board of the Institute of Tourism Studies and also Chairman of the HR and Support Services directorate of  the Malta Tourist Authority.

The Team..   

The Managing Director forms part of a team of 5 persons. Although each member assists each other according to exigencies they have their own general areas of responsibility.

Vincent Lungaro Mifsud is a consultant with a history in hotel and catering management and considerable experience in quality standards, training and administration. Besides taking responsibility for these aspects of the business he provides a support service to the other members of the group.

Stefania Pace controls the company web-sites which she uses to market the various services and products, and she manages the Mystery Guest programs.

The executive officer for recruitment is Sharon Sultana who was baptized in the motor industry but moved into insurance before joining the MHCS team early in 2009. Today she takes direct responsibility for all placements and is placing major emphasis in the Health and Care Division both locally and overseas.

The fifth person in the team is Raymond Fonk the accounts executive for MHCS whose background is in catering and who assists in assessing candidates seeking posts in the financial and IT sectors.
